Donate to honor Miss Carol's retirement and next Adventure
Donation protected
As we send Miss Carol off on her next adventure, we would like to gift her with some provisions for her journey to Northern California that will not weigh her down but rather lighten her load. We have set up a GoFundMe so friends far and wide can send their love and support. All donations go directly to Miss Carol. Please give generously!
All communities have their pillars—the people who are dependable and loyal, and whose presence is reassuring and grounding. Miss Carol has been such a pillar for our community since 2008. She has been a welcomer, an organizer, a record keeper, a safety officer, a a nurse who has held many hands, served many cups of chamomile tea, and applied hundreds of band aids to booboos. During the fire, she was one of the last people on campus and part of the calm and clear team that supported the children and ensured that they were passed safely in the hands of their parents. Miss Carol has been there to support in all of the school’s ups and downs. At the McComb campus, she greeted every child, parent, teacher, and visitor and now the O’Neill campus, she is such an integral part of our school life that rumor has it that she is the principal.
This June, after 16 years of devoted care for our community, Miss Carol has announced that she will retire from WWS and move to Sonoma, CA to be closer to her sister. It will be a much-deserved rest after such a long and wonderful service to the Westside Waldorf School. We will miss her steady presence and celebrate her and all that she has contributed to the richness of our community. Dear Miss Carol, you are woven into our tapestry, and we wish you a beautiful journey ahead.
