Our names are Gillian and Gavin, and we live in Passaic, NJ. We’re reaching out because our sweet Pomeranian, Miso (who will be celebrating his 2nd birthday on December 31st), recently gave us quite the scare.
While visiting my parents the other day, Miso managed to get into a bag of chocolate that had been left out while no one was watching. What alarmed us wasn’t just the chocolate itself, but the fact that he ended up vomiting 8 individual Hershey wrappers. We rushed him to the emergency vet, where he needed immediate treatment to make sure there were no dangerous blockages or complications.
Thanks to the incredible team at VEG ER For Pets in Clifton, and after a very long, very emotional morning, Miso is now home and recovering. We’re beyond grateful that he’s okay.
Unfortunately, the emergency visit left us with a significant financial burden: almost $2,000 out of pocket. As much as we would do absolutely anything for Miso, this unexpected expense hit especially hard with our upcoming move into a new apartment next week on November 20th. That’s why we’re turning to our community for a little help as we work to recover from the cost of his life-saving care.
If you’re able to contribute, or even just share this fundraiser, it would mean the world to us. Every bit helps us get back on our feet after this frightening experience.
Thank you for taking the time to read Miso’s story, for caring, and for any support you can give.
With love and gratitude,
Gillian Gavin & Miso ❤️
