Support Misha Michelle Battle Cancer

Hello friends and family,

I hope this finds you all well, and in good health and spirit.

Our dear friend and soul sister Michelle Rybar, whom we affectionately call "Meesh" and "Misha," has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. In April of 2021, Michelle discovered a lump in her breast during a self-exam and was shortly thereafter diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer and underwent surgery immediately following her diagnosis. During the next 12 months, Meesh endured 6 ½ weeks of an aggressive schedule of radiation and 3 months of chemotherapy treatments to cure her of cancer as her doctors were positive they had caught it early and could stop it in its track. Unfortunately, Misha had complications and had to endure three more surgeries during this period. Meesh, ALWAYS positive, uplifting, and joyful, remained so all the while through the struggle of her treatments. Our brave sister boldly shared her story and cancer journey publicly on Facebook and other platforms as a beacon of hope for those other women who shared such a scary and doubtful journey. She has since grown a small online support group for survivors and recent Mastectomy patients. Misha has indeed been a pillar of strength and determination for numerous cancer warriors and survivors during that time and even now. Her story continues to inspire.

In April of 2022, precisely 1 yr later, Meesh was told there was NED, "No Evidence of Disease", and was rid of cancer that had stricken her body. Full of gratitude, joy, and hope, she celebrated with her loving and devoted husband, Chris, her beautiful daughter Kayah, all her family, and her friends. She had endured and was grateful and relieved. Even then, especially then, she continued to advocate for other women battling through their diagnosis and lived as a testament that faith, positivity, love, and grace, even in the face of adversity, could overcome. We ALL shared their joy and were truly uplifted by her story.
As fate would have it, however, and as unpredictable as cancer can be, our celebration would be short-lived as cancer would return soon thereafter. This time it would come back even more aggressive and had spread to other vital areas of her body, including her bones and her liver. Still, though disappointed and exhausted by the rollercoaster of emotion and physical disability that she has endured since her new diagnosis, she never wavered in her faith and strong survivor instincts, Meesh again began yet another more aggressive treatment schedule which continues to this day and will continue to be in treatment for the rest of her life as treatment is a consistent part of a Stage 4 cancer survivors life.
These battles have now taken an unbearable financial toll on this kind, beautiful soul and her loving husband, Chris. Chris, Kayah, and their family could use our prayers and blessings to continue this healing journey. Anyone who has known a cancer warrior and survivor or has gone through a similar journey knows how painful this must be emotionally, spiritually, and financially. Chris has worked tirelessly, caring and providing for his wife and family during this journey, including relocating them back to San Diego, all the while being a steady emotional rock for his adoring wife and wonderful daughter Kayah. Misha has been unable to continue her work as a Human Resource Manager, and Chris must now care for Meesh more than ever to ensure she doesn’t fall or have another setback. They are a resourceful family and have taken all the measures they could to ensure Misha is best suited for the trials ahead.
While cancer is blind, cruel, and unkind, WE ARE NOT. As her friends and family, we have decided the best way to support them on their journey is to bless them with a Go Fund Me campaign. While this may not eradicate cancer, it will relieve some of the financial burdens they have and continue to endure. Your prayers are supremely and divinely valued and acknowledged and have done wonders to maintain Misha’s fighting spirit. Please keep them coming!!! Also, your financial contribution to this fund, in any amount, is appreciated and will work wonders for this delightful and deserving family.
On behalf of Michelle, Chris, and Kayah, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for ALL your contribution, encouragement, kind words, acts of kindness, generosity, and most importantly, your prayers and blessings. Please share and post on your platforms. We can and will do this!!! GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU. They send you ALL love, best wishes, and gratitude for all you are and continue to be.

Humbly and Gratefully,

D Jones
