Who are we? Mischief is an elite Bay Area mixed ultimate frisbee team. We’re a group of fun-loving and hard-working penguins traveling and competing across the country. Our team mission is to foster a supportive and fun environment that motivates us to work hard, commit, and sacrifice for each other so we can compete at the highest level. Mischief is 22 years old this year (oldest mixed team in the Bay Area), and has made an appearance at Nationals 13 times! This year, we’re proud to have placed first at Pro-Elite Challenge West (PEC) 2025, a TCT tournament and are heading to FruitBowl in August.

Why fundraise? Your donations and fundraising help make ultimate frisbee and Mischief as accessible and equitable as possible by supporting individuals who are stretched thin by the costs of our team activities. For many of us, the cost of travel, lodging, and tournament fees can be a real barrier to participating in the sport we love. Fundraising helps offset costs associated with practice field rentals, travel (flights, hotels), and tournaments for the team and individuals in varying financial situations.

If you want to hear about how Mischief uses funds, this is a story from one of our current players, Jaclyn: "When I first joined Mischief, I was working full time as a barista. I was able to afford living expenses, but not much wiggle room for fun outside of those bills. Thanks to the team fundraising efforts (and financial contribution from my teammates), I was fortunate enough to be able to travel and compete without the stress of wondering if I could afford it. That support made all the difference, and now we want to do what I can to try to support my teammates so they have the same opportunity."

What are our goals? Mischief is a supportive and fun team that motivates each individual to work hard, commit, and sacrifice for each other to compete at the highest level. Our foundation is built on prioritizing equity, fostering a joyful environment, and building cohesion through systems, roles, friendships, and a team-first egoless mentality. We focus on the value each individual brings to help maximize our team potential, understanding that we’re greater than the sum of our parts.

When does fundraising end? Until we hit our $8,000 goal! Even once we achieve our goal, any additional funds to help meet our stretch goal will only further cover costs this season and set us up for next season.

Your contribution will help ensure that finances aren't in the way of a player’s ability to join us on the field. Every donation goes directly toward travel costs and making ultimate accessible for all our teammates.
