Hi, my name is Lesly, and I’m reaching out to you today with a heavy heart to share the story of my amazing mother, Miriam.

On June 29th, my mom was in a devastating car accident. She was on her way back from church, doing what she loves, when her life was tragically changed in an instant. My mom sustained life-changing injuries. She is currently on a ventilator and has already undergone some intense medical interventions. She will need surgery to reconstruct her leg and femur, as well as a facial implant to repair the damage to her face.

As if this injury wasn’t enough, my mom’s recovery will be long and incredibly challenging. We are preparing to provide 24-hour care for her, and she will need extensive physical therapy to regain strength and mobility. We are doing everything we can to ensure that she’s comfortable and supported, but the road ahead is daunting, both emotionally and financially.

Miriam is more than just my mom—she’s an amazing grandmother, a devoted friend, and someone who radiates love and kindness. She’s a woman of deep faith, and even in this difficult time, we know that her belief in God will give her the strength she needs to heal.

We’re asking for any help, big or small, to support her recovery. The costs for medical care, therapy, and 24/7 care will be overwhelming, and every little bit will go toward ensuring she gets the best possible chance for healing. El 29de Junio, mi mamá sufrió un accidente automovilístico devastador. Estaba de regreso a casa después de la iglesia, haciendo lo que más le gusta, cuando su vida cambió trágicamente en un instante. Mi mamá sufrió lesiones que le cambiaron la vida. Actualmente está conectada a un ventilador y ya ha pasado por intervenciones médicas intensas. Necesitará cirugía para reconstruir su pierna y fémur, así como un implante facial para reparar los daños en su rostro.

Este accidente no solo ha cambiado su vida, sino que su recuperación será larga y desafiante. Nos estamos preparando para brindarle cuidados las 24 horas del día y necesitará terapia física extensiva para recuperar su fuerza y movilidad. Estamos haciendo todo lo posible para garantizar que esté cómoda y apoyada, pero el camino por delante es abrumador, tanto emocional como financieramente.

Miriam es más que solo mi mamá: es una increíble abuela, una amiga devota y una persona que irradia amor y bondad. Es una mujer de profunda fe, y aunque este momento sea difícil, sabemos que su creencia en Dios le dará la fuerza necesaria para sanar.
