If you know Miriam Geenan, you know her as a giver. She’s the friend who shows up without being asked, the steady volunteer at Cherryland Humane Society in her precious free time, the talented chef and baker whose food feels like love. Whether she’s working at Lakeview Hill Farm or Farm Club, she pours her heart into everything she does.
Now, after more than a year and a half of incredible pain, Miriam is facing a much-needed hysterectomy. Because her work is so physically demanding, she’ll need at least a month to recover — with no paid time off or short-term disability benefits to help her through. On top of that, her car’s alternator just failed, leaving her with another urgent expense during an already overwhelming time.
Our goal is to help cover three key needs so Miriam can focus on healing:
- Surgery and related medical expenses
- Lost wages during her recovery
- Car repairs so she can get back to work once she’s healed
Miriam would never ask for help herself — but she’s always been the first to offer it. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a difference and remind her she’s surrounded by a community that cares. Let’s give back to someone who’s given so much.
