Support Miranda and Andrew's Transplant Recovery
Donation protected
Miranda McKim has been undergoing a liver transplant this past week due to complications from a rare genetic disorder called Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT), also known as Osler-Weber-Rendu syndrome. Over time, the disorder caused arteriovenous malformations in her liver, which in turn put increasing strain on her heart and led to heart failure. A transplant became necessary to save her life.
In a remarkable act of kindness, Andrew Rayner—the husband of Miranda’s childhood friend Maddy—stepped forward as a living donor. After being confirmed as a match, Andrew didn’t hesitate to undergo surgery to help Miranda.
This GoFundMe has been created to support Miranda and her donor Andrew through the recovery process, helping with medical bills, travel, lost income, and the many expenses that come with such a major and life-saving procedure. We are in good faith and appreciate any donations, and words of encouragement.
