Support Minny Southerland's Recovery Journey

Hello, my name is Judith Southerland. I am one of Minny's older sisters. I am raising money for my sister because she was recently involved in a terrible car accident on the way home to Arkansas from our family vacation in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Our family included in the vehicle was our Dad, James Southerland, Grandma Cynthia Brown, my sister Minny Southerland, Nephew Emmett Gause, our dad's girlfriend Tiffany Nance, and our 6-month-old baby brother Kamuel Southerland.

During this accident, our Dad and Grandma both died on impact. Our sister has suffered a broken lower back, her jaw is broken on both sides, and a laceration on her liver. My nephew is such a strong boy and made it out with a broken arm and a few stitches. Our dad's girlfriend Tiffany has a broken leg and has had her spleen removed. Our baby brother is okay and stable. They were hit head-on by a driver going the wrong way on I-40 in Prairie County. Tiffany steered to the left to avoid the other driver, and the other driver steered to the right, causing the collision. The other driver is said to have been drinking but it has not been confirmed, we are waiting for a blood test from the police.

Losing two very important people at one time is beyond bearable and then having the others in hospitals not even knowing what just happened is devastating. It has been many years since we have all been together and we have spent years missing our Dad and Grandma. We all had one of the best weeks of our lives with each other just to miss them for the rest of our lives. Please help my family in any way possible. Please pray for a speedy recovery. Please do not drink and drive. This has impacted many lives, many of which are his children. Our Dad had 6 children, and his 10 step children.
