Welcome to MinneHONK!, a festival of activist street bands from Minneapolis and across the country. The event features free and open-to-the-public performances on Friday, May 1st at Arbeiter Brewing; Saturday, May 2nd at George Floyd Square; and Sunday, May 3rd at the Powderhorn Park Mayday parade and festival. MinneHONK! is a free event, planned and executed entirely by volunteers.
We're raising money to support bands coming from out of town, pay for permits, equipment, food, and secure funds for next year's event. Your support will help more bands participate, improve the festival experience, and keep MinneHONK! free and accessible for everyone.
Working within a framework of a plurality of festivals occurring simultaneously, a core goal of MinneHONK! is a strengthening of the community and cultural fabric at the grassroots level, encouraging people to get out and share music, conversations, and time in community. Please consider supporting this festival and helping us build a stronger, more connected Minneapolis.
