Families in south Minneapolis are facing an urgent crisis. Ongoing ICE raids have left many afraid to leave their homes, and as a result, countless families are struggling to make ends meet. Some have lost income because they cannot go to work, while others are missing vital support because income-earners in their households have been detained by ICE. The fear and uncertainty are overwhelming, and the need for immediate assistance is greater than ever.

A trusted community member in their south Minneapolis neighborhood is stepping up to distribute funds directly to those most affected. With your help, all of the money raised will go straight to families for rent and utility bills. If we raise more money than is needed to fulfill rent requests from the families we are supporting, we will direct funds raised to other needs, including food, household supplies and utilities. For the sake of privacy and safety, the families we are supporting must remain anonymous. We are in communication with the families who require assistance about the best ways to distribute the funds towards their needs, whether directly to them or to their landlords, and are distributing funds as quickly as possible given the urgency of the situation.
