My friend, Mindy, is on her second battle with esophageal cancer. It is stage 4 and back in a very aggressive form. She and her husband, Jay, are faithful people who have done their best to meet their own needs, but they now need some help.

Mindy was first diagnosed in December 2023 and was treated, but it returned more aggressively in August 2024. She has had a tracheostomy since February 2024, making audible speech and eating by mouth impossible. This round of treatment has been so much worse, and Jay has had to max out his vacation days and take unpaid leave to care for her. He has not had a significant paycheck for two months and may not have one for some weeks.

They are in need of financial help to pay basic bills (rent, utilities, car payment, insurance, food, medical) as well as some in-home assistance for about one hour each day. We are hoping to raise $10,000 initially to give them some peace of mind and support for a couple of months. Please help in any way you can.
