My name is Sophie and I'm the owner of Mindful Blooms Farm in Myakka City, Florida. We provide mindfully grown flowers to the community and host farm events for people to connect with the beauty of nature. Our flower farming season begins October 1st and this season was off to an incredible start with more flowers planted and blooming than ever before. Very sadly, Hurricane Milton had devastating affects on our flower farm. The wind burned the flowers so badly that most of them were not salvageable and had to be taken out of the ground. Essentially, we have to start over.
Hurricanes make farming extremely difficult and discouraging, but we believe in the importance of local organic flowers in Florida. We want to keep growing and rebuild. If you would like to donate to the farm to help recover this is what your donation will be purchasing:
- A new truck load of compost
- Soil mix
- Seeds
- Flower plugs
- Netting for wind protection
- Organic fertilizer
Any little bit of support helps soo much! I'm incredibly grateful for your support of this farm. I am so excited to continue providing local organic flowers and a space for you to come and connect with the beauty and resilience of nature. It's going to be a BEAUTIFUL spring! Thank you!!
