Help Mimi Fight an inflammatory attack.

After getting an internal medicine vet specialist involved we got a diagnosis.

Pancreatitis, kidney infection, uti, Irritable bowel disease. Due to IBD being a tough thing to diagnose and it can be unrecognized for some time the vet said it’s likely it caused this chain reaction of inflammation and infection elsewhere

She will need an e-tube or oesophageal feeding tube for a few weeks to ensure all medications and food can be safely administered during her healing process. While it sounds scary, apparently this tube is a lot more common for cats then I thought. She goes for her surgery to have the etube in today. ****

Hi, my name is Rachael, and I'm raising funds to help my beloved cat Mimi recover from a serious kidney infection called pyelonephritis.

As many of you know I am a huge lover of cats and Mimi has won over my heart for years. She is a fur baby that is so well loved. She is loved and adored by many through her spicy and sassy personality, her chunky demeanor and big green eyes. She is my purrtatoe <3.

Mimi has been part of my life for 6 years, and she means the world to me. She recently began showing signs of illness—loss of appetite, incontinence, and extreme lethargy. After rushing her to the vet over the long weekend and returning again with little improvement July 3rd morning she was diagnosed with pyelonephritis, a painful and potentially life-threatening kidney infection.

Her treatment involves:

Emergency vet visits

Blood tests and urine cultures

IV fluids and hospitalization

Antibiotics and long-term medications

The cost of her care has already exceeded greatly, and we are expecting additional expenses as she continues her treatment and recovery. Any amount, no matter how small, will go directly to covering Mimi’s medical bills and helping her get the care she desperately needs.
