Support Mimi's Journey to Her Service Dog

Hi, my name is Amelia, but I go by Mimi! I'm 6 years old and last night, after a 3-year wait, I was finally matched with my forever service dog!

My family and I will get to travel to 4 Paws For Ability, which is a long roadtrip away, to spend 10 days in an intensive training and certification class in November! It’ll be just like having my own superhero best friend who is there just for me!

My new superhero bestie will be trained in seizure alert, tracking, tethering, mobility, and behavior disruption as a member of a 3-part team. My family can't wait to meet them and learn with them how to help me live the best life I can!

That's what this GoFundMe is for! Helping my family and I to travel far away from our home and go through the required certification in order to bring my superhero home. We have to rent a hotel that can’t be anymore than 30 minutes away from the training facility and pay for a tethering system for me to work with my bestie. I am FAST and I’m not afraid of ANYTHING, including cars, even when my legs hurt and I get mad because they hurt!

And we’ll need to make sure we have a special safe space for my helper, as well as make sure the whole family is fed, and I’m picky, just ask my mama!

All of this to say, I’m so excited to meet my new hand-picked for me friend and I can’t wait for you to meet them, too!
