We are reaching out on behalf of our dear friends, Ali Borelli and Mark Young, whose beloved Border Collie, Mimic, is fighting for her life in emergency critical care.

Mimic, who just turned two years old on Thursday 12/11 (the same day she was hospitalized), was diagnosed with Acute Idiopathic Pancreatitis. She has been admitted to the emergency veterinary hospital and requires constant, aggressive care. The doctors are battling to control a persistent 105 degree fever and inflammation on her organs, including fluid around her heart and abdomen.

Mimic is an incredibly special and talented dog—not just a pet, but a family member and a promising athlete. She is an amazing prospect in both herding and agility, known for her intelligence, drive, and devotion by all who know her.

If you know Ali, you know her dogs are her life, and she would move mountains for them. Mimic is her world, and Ali and Mark are heartbroken as they watch their young dog fight this battle.

The cost of this level of intensive care is staggering and is climbing rapidly into the thousands of dollars ($$$$) per day due to the necessary 24/7 monitoring, IV therapies, medications, and advanced diagnostics (ultrasounds, bloodwork, etc.).

These funds will be used 100% for Mimic's ongoing, life-saving care and medical bills. Every moment Mimic spends in critical care gives her another chance to recover.

Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant difference and relieve an enormous burden from Ali and Mark so they can focus entirely on Mimic's recovery.
