Hello, my name is Heather & this is Milo
I’m reaching out with an urgent plea for help. My beloved dog, Milo, has fallen critically ill, and our journey to save him has been overwhelming, both emotionally and financially.
It all started on June 28th, when Milo accidentally ingested some saltwater from our pool. Within days, he became lethargic, began vomiting, and showed signs of serious distress. Since then, we’ve been to five different emergency vets, each visit uncovering more complications and more costs. We’ve had x-rays, blood work, multiple medications, and specialists involved, and we’re still searching for answers.
The last intern hospital on July 10th said Milo may need an MRI and advanced care at a specialist facility hours away at OSU or MSU. The estimated costs are staggering—up to $30,000—on top of the $11,000 we’ve already spent. As a single mom, I’m doing everything I can & I’m almost bankrupt from this, I can’t afford my rent, my job is paying me almost nothing at this point because I’m having to call off work so much that I’m not really working Milo is the most important dog. He’s like my son I every time I look at him my heart breaks. He needs so many things that I can’t afford right now and I know they want me to put him to sleep, but I cannot give up on him. he wouldn’t give up on us, so I am doing one desperate plea for help. His next appointment to see a specialist that’s eight hours away is on July 23 and then I might have to take him to the emergency room one more time before that as well being his head is more deteriorated now than it was on July 10.
