Millie is 10 months old and she has a very rare cleft where she is missing her entire soft palate. It’s not often babies have a bilateral cleft without a cleft lip, and she has been on a feeding tube since birth. In her short life, she has already made several trips to Birmingham and has overcome more than doctors once thought possible through the grace of God.

In February, Millie will undergo an important surgery to reconstruct her palate with the possibility of more procedures due to the uncertainty with the rareness of her cleft, and she has Tracheomalacia. Her family is projected to stay in Birmingham for 4-8 weeks during her surgery and recovery. With travel, food, medical expenses, and both parents taking time off work, the financial burden can add up quickly.
