Support Miller’s journey to walk again using Bioness
Donation protected
I was in a severe car accident in October of 2023. I experienced a T12 spinal cord injury which resulted in me being paralyzed from the waist down. I have spent the past year in intensive rehabilitation working to regain the ability to walk again. I am making progress and I am determined to defy the odds. Unfortunately, almost all of the things that I need for my recovery are extremely expensive and not covered by insurance. I am so excited about an adaptive piece of technology that I have been able to use for walking at physical therapy called the Bioness L300 and thigh cuffs. This is a wireless device that uses electrical stimulation to retrain my leg muscles. The thigh cuffs stimulate my quad and hamstring muscles to retrain them to lift my legs. The L300 bottom devices stimulate my calves and help me to lift my feet. I am currently using these devices 45 minutes a week at physical therapy. I am trying to purchase my own set for each of my legs to use for 8-10 hours a day. I appreciate your support in helping me reach my goal of walking again!
