On Thursday, September 3, severe weather tore through the Milford Farmers Market.

In a matter of minutes, tents were ripped apart. Tables were overturned. Products and inventory that local makers, farmers and small businesses had spent countless hours creating were destroyed.

We captured what happened and shared it on social media. Since then, the video has taken off — closing in on one million views.

That's nearly a million people who saw what happened. Now we have a chance to turn that attention into something that actually helps.

LET'S GET MILFORD'S VENDORS BACK ON THEIR FEET.

For many of these vendors, this isn't just a Saturday hobby. These are small businesses. Side hustles becoming livelihoods. Farmers, makers, artists and entrepreneurs who invest their own money and countless hours into what they bring to our community every week.

Some lost tents and tables.

Others lost inventory.

Some lost both.

Our goal is to raise $16,000 to help the vendors affected by the storm replace what was lost and get back to doing what they do.

Every dollar raised will go toward helping impacted Milford Farmers Market vendors recover from storm-related losses, including damaged equipment, tents, tables and inventory.
