Supporting Baby Miley’s Fight — And Her Family’s Hope

Miley Brooke is just 3 days old and already fighting battles no newborn should face. On August 6, 2025, Miley was airlifted to New Orleans for emergency care. She has undergone two major surgeries in her first two days of life. Due to a severe meconium blockage, 25% of her intestine was removed after extreme swelling caused tissue damage.

Miley is currently on a ventilator and has two stomas with a colostomy bag. Doctors are closely monitoring another damaged section of her intestines, working hard to help it heal through rest and fluids.

Her parents, Ashlyn Viola and Tyler Cook, have had to temporarily relocate to be with their precious baby. Ashlyn, still recovering from a full C-section, left the hospital less than 24 hours after giving birth to be by Miley’s side.

They also have two young children at home—Jaxx (2 years old) and Mila (1 year old)—who deeply miss their parents. Jaxx is supposed to start school on August 14, but with everything happening so quickly, nothing is certain.

The emotional toll on this family is unimaginable. The financial strain is overwhelming.
