Help Me Get Milee Back on Her Feet (Literally)
So, in a mind-boggling twist of irony, I just bought pet insurance—like an hour before my blue heeler, Milee, dropped her ball into the lake, and broke her leg trying to retrieve it.
This dog is a full-on adrenaline junkie. She runs, jumps, catches frisbees, and has absolutely zero regard for her own safety. Prior to this we’ve tossed around the idea of getting her involved in agility classes because she’s so fast and agile. She’s wild, fearless, and we love her to pieces!
We rushed her to the ER (because obviously), dropped $2,000 on the spot, and now we’re in this weird waiting game to see if the pet insurance I just got will even cover the surgery she needs to actually fix her leg.
The vet’s temporary cast is just a stopgap—surgery is the real solution, and without it, our high-energy girl will be sidelined significantly as the possibility of breaking her leg again increases significantly without additional support for her bone.
I’m cautiously optimistic the insurance will come through, but we really can’t wait to see if they’ll cover the procedures. That’s where you come in. I’m asking for any help you can spare to get Milee the surgery she needs. Every little bit adds up, and I’ll make sure to send a thank-you gift to everyone who helps us get her back to running full speed again.
Thanks for helping get my wild girl back in the game!
