Our 9-year-old daughter Mila has qualified to compete at the UDO World Street Dance Championships this summer in Blackpool.
After months of dedication and hard work, Mila earned top results at the Greater London and Southern regionals:
- 1st place in Under 10 Solo (Beginner)
- 1st place in Under 12 Team (Novice)
- 3rd place in Duos (Beginner)
Mila has been dancing with Steppaz Dance Academy since her 4th birthday. Steppaz is a London based award-winning performing arts company, known for developing world-class talent in a supportive and inclusive environment. Last season, Mila joined their Elite competition team, and in 2024, she qualified for both the European and World Championships in team and duo categories. This year, she’s gone even further, securing solo, team, and duo spots at the UDO World Championship. She’ll now take the stage at one of the world’s biggest youth dance competitions, performing alongside some of the most talented young dancers from around the globe.
We’re incredibly proud of Mila, competing at the World Championships is a significant step. But this journey comes with some extra expenses:
- Travel and accommodation
- Meals and daily expenses
- Championship entry fees
- Costumes and performance wear
- Extra rehearsals and coaching sessions
We’re covering as much as we can, but this level of competition is a big undertaking. Any support, no matter the amount, will go directly toward helping Mila take part in this unforgettable experience.
