I’m Molly Webb, Mila’s Mommy

Mila is a silly and strong 7 year old girl. She loves jumping on her bed, swimming, giggling to word party and cuddling anyone!

She is nonverbal but that doesn’t stop her from letting you know exactly what she wants (usually all the lamps turned off), she is wheelchair bound but finds ways to climb and crawl on anything, sometimes into any puddle or bowl of water she can find.

A few years ago Mila got the diagnosis of Syngap-1. This is a rare genetic disorder only affecting 1497 people worldwide. With Mila’s condition, it affects many parts of her day-to-day activities. She’s autistic, has extreme insomnia, scoliosis, she is nonverbal, wheelchair bound and the hardest one of all ,severely epileptic. In the past year, Mila now experiences hundreds of seizures a day. Even with all of her medications, she’s on maxed out to its limits. Mila’s team of doctors at nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus Ohio have suggested and decided on Mila having a corpus callosotomy. where they will sever the highway to her brain in hopes to reducing her seizures and possibly changing the function of her brain. It has been very challenging for Mila to focus on any type of life skills when her seizures affect her every few minutes dropping to the ground. This procedure could be life-changing for Milas future. Despite all of her daily battles, Mila is a sweet funny happy little girl.

I am a single mom and Mila’s full-time caregiver, I have been in the restaurant industry for 13 years and I’m not offered any pto for situations like this. Most medical expenses are covered by insurance. We will be traveling 3 hours away for her surgery. Your donations will help us pay for hotel stays before and after surgery, travel, medical expenses not covered by insurance, our stay with Mila has to have inpatient therapy afterwards, and living in expenses for after Mila’s surgery. These donations will help relieve the financial strain that has become overwhelming in such a short amount of time. Allowing us to focus on the biggest task at hand, getting Mila healthy ✨
