Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read our story. My little sister Mila, who will be 10 on December 10th, has had trouble with her health since she was 6 months old. She had myocarditis and lived in the hospital for months. She's been on medication since. Last year, she was taken off Medicaid and was not able to visit her doctor, as appointments and drives to Dallas cost quite a bit more than my mother can afford.

After a year of not being able to see the doctor, my mother was finally able to take her to Dallas for an MRI and nephrology appointment. Extensive labs were done, and we have found that she will be needing a kidney transplant and will be put on dialysis until she can receive one. There are items such as a generator, new shower head, and miscellaneous items she will need for in-home dialysis.
