Support Milagros Alzamora's Leukemia Battle

Hi my name is Fernanda, the daughter of Milagros Alzamora.

I am starting this gofundme for my mom. As some of you may know, she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on July 2, 2024.

Since then our world has been turned upside down. Even with this news, she continues to live her life with incredible positivity and strength that amazes us all every single day.

She has since then, began treatment that will take course for a total of 2 years. While her doctors have given us a positive prognosis, her treatment requires 3-4 night hospital stays every month for at least the next 8 months. She has always been the main provider of our household but because of her treatments she has not been able to work as much due to hospital stays, doctors visits and overall side effects from the chemotherapy.

My mom is the strongest woman I know and was very reluctant to start a GoFundMe page but being that she has only completed about 25% of her treatment, it has become evident that we could use all the help we can get.

My sister, Miranda and I have decided to put this collection together to help support her during this battle. All donations will go towards medical and household expenses. No donation is too small and any contribution will be a significant help in easing some of the financial pressures so that Mila can focus on her recovery.

Hola, mi nombre es Fernanda, la hija de Milagros Alzamora.

Estoy comenzando este GoFundMe para mi mamá. Como algunos de ustedes saben, fue diagnosticada con Leucemia el 2 de julio de 2024. Desde entonces, nuestro mundo a cambiado. A pesar de estas noticias, ella sigue viviendo su vida con una increíble positividad y fortaleza que nos sorprende a todos cada día.

Desde entonces, ha comenzado un tratamiento que durará un total de 2 años. Aunque sus médicos nos han dado un pronóstico positivo, su tratamiento requiere de 3 a 4 noches de hospital cada mes durante al menos los próximos 8 meses. Siempre ha sido la principal proveedora de nuestro hogar, pero debido a sus tratamientos, no ha podido trabajar tanto por las hospitalizaciones, visitas al médico y los efectos secundarios de la quimioterapia.

Mi mamá es la mujer más fuerte que conozco y fue muy reacia a comenzar una página de GoFundMe, pero sabiendo que solo ha completado alrededor del 25% de su tratamiento, se ha hecho evidente que necesitamos toda la ayuda posible.

Mi hermana, Miranda, y yo hemos decidido crear esta recaudación para ayudarla durante esta batalla. Todas las donaciones se destinarán a gastos médicos y del hogar. Ninguna donación es demasiado pequeña y cualquier contribución será de gran ayuda para aliviar algunas de las presiones financieras, para que Mila pueda concentrarse en su recuperación.
