Hi everyone,

I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Monica and Mike, and their son, Mikey, who was involved in a serious rollover car accident on Wednesday, February 25th, while on his way to school.

Mikey was airlifted from Marian Hospital to Madera Children’s Hospital with severe fractures to his L1 through L3 vertebrae. On Friday, he underwent surgery to fuse the damaged bones, and doctors inserted rods and screws to stabilize his spine. While we are incredibly grateful that Mikey survived this traumatic accident, he now faces an extensive and painful road to recovery.

As parents, nothing prepares you for a phone call like that. In an instant, their world was turned upside down. Since the accident, their entire focus has been on supporting Mikey physically and emotionally as he begins the long process of healing.

The emotional toll has been overwhelming, and the financial burden that comes with emergency transport, hospital stays, surgery, follow-up appointments, rehabilitation, and time away from work is more than any family should have to face alone.

As friends, we want to rally around Monica, Mike, and Mikey to help ease some of that stress so they can focus fully on Mikey’s healing and recovery.
