Asking for help from our community‼️‼️

Meet Mikey, he’s a 16 yr old young man, resident of Defiance and student/ athlete at Defiance High School.

He has been suffering from multiple different types of seizures for quite sometime now.

He has been admitted into a hospital in Columbus, Ohio to decrease his seizure medication, inducing several seizures over the next week. This will show exactly what part of his brain is being effected. This testing will be used to see if he is a candidate for brain surgery, with hopes of giving him back somewhat of a normal childhood.

He resides with his mother Anastasia Marie DeShazo, who solely takes care of him and his siblings. Even in a time of need, asking for help is hard. That’s where we come in!

I’m currently organizing a donation collection on Sunday October 12th from 12pm-3pm with help from his friends and peers. All donations will go directly to Anastasia to help with travel, food and any other essential needs while they navigate these medical uncertainties.
