Building Dreams! Help get Mikey to Nationals

We are thrilled to share exciting news abount an incredible young man who has used his work ethic and gifted construction and technology skills to move forward in life. We are beyond proud of this extraordinary young man who has overcome more life obstacles than most adults face in a lifetime. As a former teacher, I met Mikey six years ago when he was adopted by his loving grandparents out of foster care during his middle school. Since then, he has become like family to many of us.

Mikey has shown a rare strength of character—gentle, humble, and full of integrity. He has a heart of gold and a work ethic to match. His journey has led him to pursue construction technology at his local tech school (K-Tech), where he recently competed and won first place regionally and then again at the Idaho State Skills USA Construction Technology and Design Competition—beating out 30 other students .

Now he’s been invited to Nationals, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to represent Idaho and showcase his talent on a national stage. But he can’t get there alone. We are rallying around him to help cover travel costs, lodging, materials, and other expenses. Every donation, no matter how small, is a step toward making his dream a reality.

Let’s show him what it looks like when a community comes together to believe in someone who never gave up. He’s already made us so proud—let’s help him go all the way and see where God can use his heart, talent and skills to better his life and our community.
