Let's get Mike some new legs! As many of you know, Mike broke his fibula recently. It happened when one of his legs suddenly gave out while helping fix his mom's sprinklers. His degenerative nerve disease has been progressing most noticeably and unfortunately in his legs and with this recent accident he's concerned he may not be able to build the muscle back after his boot comes off.

The goal for this small go-fund me is to raise enough for our good friend Mike to buy these innovative exoskeleton supports for his legs. See link below. I chatted with him about these and he seemed genuinely stoked at the idea. It's a test and we're unsure how well they will work, but seems like a promising way to gift him more mobility and strength for a while. And there's a possibility these could give Mike another few years on the mountain bike after his broken bone heals up. That would be huge. You probably know about his deep love for mountain biking, but he hasn't been able to ride much lately given the muscle atrophy in his thighs and now with his broken leg.

PS - According to his sister Laura, Mike was adamant that they go back to Home Depot and finish the job after she first took him to the doctor. He took the time to teach her how to do the sprinklers and the sprinkler heads correctly even though he was still in obvious pain.
