Hello everyone, my name is Miriam. I am Mike's wife. I'm on here on behalf of Mike today to share his story.

Mike suffered a severe stroke Thursday, September 19th. Thankful for the people he was surrounded by in Jiujitsu that caught the signs and got him emergently to the ER.

After a traumatic night of waiting for medication to work, he was taken emergently to have a minimally invasive surgery to remove the large blood clot in the right side of his brain. During the procedure they found not one but 2 clots. Thankful for the hands of the surgeon, he came out alive and to ICU for recovery.

Everyone knows Mike as a happy, active person. But he is soooo much more. He is a beloved son, brother, husband, and overall father. He is a very active person who does multiple combat sport activities. This has severely dropped him to the point where he cannot work at the moment and our family is going to need financial assistance.

Mike had just left one job to start a brand new one, where he was extremely happy with. And with that we had loss of insurance and financial assistance for an unknown time at the moment. Due to unknown time frame of recovery with physical and occupational therapy.

Asking for any monetary assistance isn’t of me, and at the least of Mike. At this moment we find our self humbling ourselves and ask for any assistance possible.
