Support Mike's parents - his sister's tragedy

This fund was set up by Mike’s work colleagues. We have been blessed to have Mike Dolata on our team at Sysmex America, Inc in Lincolnshire, Illinois.  An immensely hard working, kind and committed person, Mike is devastated that his only sibling, Geraldine (Gerri) Dolata, tragically passed from a massive stroke during her battle in the hospital with COVID.

 

The Dolata family has seen it's share of tragedies over the last two years.  In February 2020, Mike's nephew Sean (his sister Gerri's only child) died while in route to a medical facility due to heart failure.  Walt, Mike's dad was in a serious accident that required months of healing and rehab.  At the end of his recovery, Walt was diagnosed with throat cancer and underwent chemo and radiation, as well as necessary life-saving radical surgery from which he is still working to regain his strength and normal activities.  In addition, Mike's aunt passed during this time of COVID and recently his favorite Uncle, his mother Peggy's brother and his dad's best friend, passed away as well.  This uncle actually introduced Mike's parents to each other and was part of the reason Mike is so crazy about working on old cars.

 

Mike has stepped in to help support his family, but the financial strain has been substantial for his parents.  On top of hospitalization for his dad's accident, cancer treatments and major surgery, they now need to make arrangements for their daughter.
