Support Mike's Parents After Tragic Accident

My name is Mike.

My parents who are in their late 60's were involved in a terrible car accident on Monday, September 23rd, 2024, which wasn't their fault. They have sustained extensive injuries, including internal bleeding, a collapsed lung, broken ribs, a concussion, chipped bones, cuts, etc.

Unfortunately, the vehicle at fault was owned by Rogers County, OK, and Oklahoma places a $125,000 cap on liability for county agencies. That won't begin to cover their medical bills, new car, etc.

After my mother was discharged from the hospital and told she was going to be ok, (not counting the concussion), she collapsed while walking and hit her head and was taken by ambulance back to the hospital. This time, they did a full body CT Scan and discovered that she had broken ribs from the accident (which two different hospitals had missed). Worse though is that it revealed signs of bone cancer. She is now working on making an appointment with an oncologist.

Any help is appreciated.

Update on my father. They delayed the surgery for the internal bleeding because they couldn't get his vitals to stabilize. After a couple of days, the internal bleeding has slowed on it's own and it appears they may not have to perform the surgery. There is also signs of improvement with his collapsed lung and they may remove the chest tube in the next 24 hrs.
