Mike has always been the kind of friend who would give you the shirt off his back, never asking for anything in return. Since January, he has been in and out of the hospital battling congestive heart failure (CHF), and now he faces a major step in his journey—undergoing a Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) procedure on June 4th. This surgery is a big moment for Mike, and it comes after months of uncertainty, hospital stays, and countless challenges.

The road ahead will not be easy. After his LVAD surgery, Mike will need to travel back and forth to Philadelphia once a week for follow-up appointments and get labs done twice a week. He will be dependent on others for care and transportation for the next three to four months as he recovers. The costs of LVAD gear, travel, recovery, and mounting medical bills are overwhelming, and Mike could use a helping hand from the community he’s always supported.

Any support you can give will be deeply appreciated—whether that’s a phone call, a text, a prayer, or a donation. Mike has never been one to ask for help, but right now, he needs us. Thank you for standing by him during this difficult time and showing him the same kindness he’s always shown to others.
