Support Mike's Legal Fight to Drive Again
Donativo protegido
I'm Mike Paskoff, a 60-year-old grandfather who has been a post-retirement Lyft driver for over 10 years to help support my family and provide me an opportunity to full-time nanny my grandchildren during my retirement years.
I have been a highly rated and respected driver and provided over 18,000 five-star rides and positive, helpful experiences!
Recently, I was safely transporting a young lady to move into her new dorm room at Morgan State University and was helping her unload her belongings when a campus police officer began yelling at me that I wasn't doing the proper job and that the Lyft rider should give me a poor rating and contact Lyft to complain. When I explained to the officer that I was doing my job properly according to Lyft guidelines, he began yelling at me to quickly leave the campus! As I was quickly driving away and upset, I was involved in a minor car accident which resulted in no injuries; however, I was assessed traffic violations and now face permanent deactivation of my Lyft driver account and have had to hire an attorney to represent me in this situation.
I am facing serious hardship as I had been renting my vehicle through Lyft and now am facing deactivation and the loss of my vehicle and income while also facing legal costs. My attorney has assured me that these charges are frivolous and should be adjudicated to a positive conclusion.
I am facing temporary financial hardship until the case is resolved and I can be reactivated on the driver app again.
The funds raised will go directly to my legal fees and attempt to secure another vehicle in order to continue making income through driving, be it Lyft, Uber, DoorDash, etc.
Please help with anything!
Thank you,
Michael Paskoff
