Support Mike’s recovery from a spinal cord injury

I was surfing, when a rogue wave came out of nowhere and pulled me under, slamming the back of my head into the sandbar. My body just froze all I could do was breathe. I breathe in so much salt water that all I remember seeing darkness before I drowned.

Luckily my best friend Alex was there with me he saved my life and pulled me out of the water. I got airlifted to Halifax hospital in Daytona Beach. While I was at the hospital though I had to go into surgery immediately. The surgeon said if I didn’t I still could’ve died.

They cut through my neck from the throat to my spine removed the disc and C3 and replaced it with an artificial one and fused a couple of vertebrates together. I am told by the doctors that because I was an avid gym person that my muscle memory Will help me recover. I have anywhere from a 95 to 100% chance to be back to normal.

However, it's about six months to a year recovery and two years of healing I am not cleared to go back to work yet so my finances have dropped to nothing. And as we all know the government takes their sweet time and makes you jump through so many hurdles before being approved for medical disability while I'm healing. So anything that you can help out with would be appreciated.

The money would be used to pay for my cell phone bill, so that way, I can keep in contact with my doctors and my therapist. It’ll be used to pay for the Internet so that way I can continue sending over documents to doctors, insurance and the government to make sure I can finally get assistance. It would be used to pay for food for myself and my dogs. It would be used to pay for gas to get to and from doctors offices and therapy appointments. It would also be used to pay for my car and car insurance so that I have transportation.
