Meet Mr. Mike Robinson:
Mike has spent the last 26 days in the hospital, in and out of an induced coma, to help his body that was being attacked by sepsis.
The doctors had to perform emergency surgery to remove the toxins that were attacking his stomach and bile ducts. The doctors only gave Mike a 25 percent chance of surviving. Through the grace of God and the knowledge of several doctors, Mike pulled through. But the fight is not over. Mike still has to go through rehabilitation for at least 30 days or more.
After numerous tests, they found that his stomach and intestines were split open and that bile had all split into the bottom of his stomach. Apparently, he had been leaking bile into his stomach slowly, and the bile had solidified up to his navel area. They put him on life support and gave him a 25% chance of making it through the night. The next morning, they said they needed to rush him into surgery because he wasn't going to make it. It's been 26 days of prayers going out around the world for him, and God blessed him with a powerful, merciful miracle.
The good news is that his liver and kidneys are functioning properly. The disease he has, MSA, is now causing his internal organs to deteriorate. There is no known cure for this disease; the doctors are just able to treat the symptoms as they arise. At this point in time, donations are desperately needed in order for him to be able to go into a rehabilitation facility and for future expenses.
His benefits through Blue Cross Blue Shield have been exhausted. The estimated total cost of his hospital stay, surgery, and rehabilitation will be about $150K. We are asking you to donate to this cause to help stabilize Mike’s health. Please share with others to help with this cause.
