Support Mike Summa And His Family After Hurricane Helene
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Debbie. I have created this page for my brother Mike Summa and his family.
On September 26, 2024, they faced a devastating tragedy and lost everything inside their home due to flooding from Hurricane Helene. Everything from all their clothes to all their furniture, vehicles, and everything in between.
This hurricane did not discriminate, and many people have lost a big part of their lives. Our hearts go out to them.
They are kind-hearted people and would give the shirt off their backs to help someone in need. I'm hoping that they can find the same kindness in this time of need.
They have come a long way and both work very hard to make a home for their family, including two grandchildren that they have taken under their wing. My brother's wife, who has served as a Marine, has undergone several back surgeries, and the very expensive bed for her is now gone. Their whole lives have been turned upside down.
Thank God they decided to leave that night. They had to walk quite a distance in waist-high water carrying two children, four kittens, a smallish dog, and whatever they could take with them to safety.
The next day, on their second attempt to assess the damage, they walked into a horrible scene. The water marks on the walls were about five feet high. Objects, including a washing machine, had moved from one part of the house to the next. An obvious scene from a hurricane.
We are fundraising to help them rebuild their lives and replace the essentials they lost.
This fundraiser is for my brother and his family, who have lost everything due to Hurricane Helene.
