UPDATE as of 11/6/2025 on Mike

As many of you know, my brother Mike was diagnosed with glioblastoma (brain cancer) in January 2024. Each day since has been a difficult battle. He’s now completely dependent on others, as he’s paralyzed on his left side. Despite all he’s facing, he continues to fight with quiet strength and faith.

His wife has been an incredible caregiver — truly his angel here on earth. She makes sure he’s comfortable, loved, and well cared for every single day. Hospice visits their home three days a week, which has been a tremendous help and comfort.

Mike lost his job a few months ago, and their health insurance ended in October. Up to this point, they’ve managed as best as possible, but the road ahead continues to bring challenges. The generosity shown through this GoFundMe and other fundraisers has meant more than words can express — it’s helped ease some of the financial burden and allowed them to focus on what truly matters: time together.

Please continue to keep Mike in your prayers. His headaches have grown stronger, his vision has declined, and most days his body is in pain — yet through it all, his faith remains steady. Hello, my name is J’Nell. Four months ago, my younger brother Mike’s life changed suddenly and unexpectedly when he was diagnosed with high grade glial neoplasm, Glioblastoma, an aggressive type of brain cancer. Since the diagnosis, he has undergone treatment options including radiation and chemotherapy. Sadly, the treatments were not successful in controlling the growth of the tumor. With a heavy heart, he has made the difficult decision to transition into hospice care, focusing now on comfort and quality of life.

The journey so far has been both physically and emotionally draining. Medical bills, ongoing care needs, and the inability to work have severely depleted his savings. The emotional toll of the illness, coupled with this financial strain, has been overwhelming.

This is why, as difficult as it is to ask, I am turning to you.
