Our family recently received heartbreaking news: our brother, Mikel Monsen, went in for surgery to have a brain tumor removed and has been diagnosed with Astrocytoma Grade 4, which is terminal. This devastating diagnosis has changed everything for him and his wife, Sarah, and their kids, Kai and Kiera.

Mike is an active outdoorsman always on the move, so this has been quite the adjustment for him. His sweet wife, Sarah, has been there for him every step of the way. And they both are incredible parents to Kai and Kiera.

As they face this unimaginable journey, Mikel will be able to work very little—if at all. The physical toll of treatment, combined with the emotional weight of this diagnosis, makes it difficult for them to manage the financial burden alone.

We are starting this GoFundMe to help ease their financial stress so they can focus on what matters most: spending precious time together, managing care, and making meaningful memories. Funds raised will go directly toward medical expenses, household bills, and daily living costs during this incredibly difficult time.

Mike and his family have touched many lives by their selfless giving and help to others. Now we want to help them .
