Late Friday night, Mikee was involved in an accident while driving home on his infamous scooter. He is lucky to be alive, but has a long road to recovery. We don’t know much about the accident itself quite yet, but are managing the aftermath. So far Mikee has needed reconstruction surgery on his right femur, and a screw placed in his right knee. All of his ribs on his right side are fractured, and will be going in for surgery in the next few days. He has a punctured lung cavity, a fractured humerus bone, fractured C4 vertebrae disk, a bruised heart, and is currently breathing with support through a ventilator in the ICU.

It’s been incredibly hard to see our friend who is usually the one lighting up a room like this. If you’ve met Mikee, you’ve loved Mikee. Whether he has poured your drinks and made you laugh, or been your rock when you needed it, Mikee makes everyone he meets life better. He’s just one of those special people with the ability to make a room a place you want to be in. Now it’s our turn to return the favor.

Any funds donated will be going towards Mikee’s rent, hospital bills, physical therapy and general aftercare for what will probably be a 5-8 month recovery. This GoFundMe is being run by Kat and Liz, as soon as Mikee is able the entirety of these fund will be transferred to his account. As a piercer and a bartender, we’re assuming Mikee will be out of work for quite a while. Anything helps, even if it’s just a share.
