On August 7, 2025, Mike Valencia, owner of C&C Archery and Sporting Goods in LeRoy, NY, was discovered unresponsive with head trauma, by a customer. Emergency services were called, and he has been in the ICU at Strong Memorial Hospital since then, where he remains in critical condition. One week earlier, Mike's wife Bobbi "rang the bell" after completing her last breast cancer treatment.

With Mike's prognosis uncertain, Bobbi and family members are spending considerable time at his bedside each day to monitor his progress. Mike and Bobbi have already endured the stress of her breast cancer diagnosis and treatment the past several months. Now, the family faces the additional stress of Mike's serious medical event.

Mike is the sole proprietor of the small archery shop, and friends have stepped up to keep the business open with limited hours during his absence. Mike is well-regarded for his volunteer efforts at Limerock Speedway, where he is known as the "track guru," keeping the track in top shape. He is recognized for his commitment to the community, especially through support of youth in archery and stock car racing, offering both his time and resources.
