On August 8th, Mike underwent major brain surgery. His surgical team was able to remove over 99% of the tumor, which was an outstanding result and far exceeded initial expectations. Unfortunately, pathology reports have now confirmed that the tumor is cancerous.

The next step in his journey is a rigorous treatment plan of daily radiation therapy and chemotherapy to target the remaining tumor cells. This will be a long and demanding process — physically, emotionally, and financially. Mike remains in good spirits and is determined to push through this challenge, but the coming weeks will be demanding. He will still be unable to work, and medical costs continue to add up.
