Support Mike Marin during his ALS fight

Dear family, friends, community and beyond:
I'm reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and hopeful spirit on behalf of my dear brother, Mike. In 2023, Mike was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), a devastating disease that affects the nervous system and gradually robs individuals of their ability to move, speak, and ultimately breathe. Despite being only 68 years old, ALS has taken a toll on Mike's life, as well as the lives of his family and close friends.
Mike is not just a statistic or a patient; he's a caring son to our 96-year-old father, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Known for his kindness and loving nature, Mike has always been there to lend a helping hand to those in need. He faces this disease with remarkable courage and faith, despite the uncertainties it brings each day.
Since his diagnosis, Mike has faced challenges with his mobility and breathing, but he continues to fight with unwavering determination. Supported by his loving wife, Lily, whom he affectionately calls "My Angel,” Mike's family has been by his side every step of the way, providing care, comfort and love.
Mike's active involvement in the community, his church, and his love of sports have left a lasting impact on those around him. He looks back on his life with gratitude for the experiences he's had and the people he's shared them with.
Asking for help has never been easy for Mike, but as his illness progresses, the need for assistance grows. Your support will help cover the increasing costs of home care, a wheelchair accessible van, and ongoing medical expenses, including physical therapy and medications.
We are deeply grateful for any contribution you can make to support Mike during this challenging time in his life. Your generosity and kindness will make a tangible difference in his journey with ALS.
Thank you for standing with us as we rally around Mike with love, hope, and support.
With heartfelt appreciation,
