I’m writing this on behalf of my uncle and aunt, Mike & Lisa Thomas, who are two very wonderful people that I care deeply about.

In 2023, (uncle) Mike was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, which is a neurological disorder that affects the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord that control voluntary muscle movement and breathing.

His symptoms began in 2021, when he started to lose movement in his left foot. It wasn’t until after almost a full year of testing, doctor’s visits, and more symptoms, that he was officially diagnosed.

As things have progressed, Mike has not been able to work and he is no longer able to walk. It has severely affected his ability to perform majority of life’s daily functions on his own. He requires full-time care that his wife, Lisa, has been providing thus far. While it’s already been extremely hard watching her husband go through this, taking care of him every day along with working and the household responsibilities has been a huge weight on her shoulders.

Home care is not fully covered by insurance and sadly the out of pocket expenses are not affordable, especially on top of all of the other medical expenses.

It breaks my heart to see them going through this. If we could raise some funds to help him receive the home care and medical supplies he continues to need, we would be so eternally grateful.

No donation will go unnoticed and all funds raised will go to my uncle & aunts home care and medical expenses.
