I am starting this fundraiser for our dear friend Mike Greenwood.

Mike is a long time member who was better known as ComicDonna.

For the past 13 years, he was involved in moderation on these chatboards.

For the first 10, he was an upaid volunteer. At the time he was working full time as a logger.

3 years ago, after he retired as a logger, Mike was hired as the sole moderator of these boards.

He did a wonderful job, worked every day he possibly could and really put his heart and soul into making these boards the best place he could for our members and for the company.

Unfortunately he was abruptly laid off without notice last week, due to company downsizing.

It is right before the holidays and it is difficult time to find a job easily this time of year.

A few people have asked me if he worked for fun after retiring, or because he needed the job. He needed "a" job and was very happy when he got one he could love.

So he is seriously looking for other work, immediately. But meanwhile life doesn't always work out the way you plan. He was a private contractor as a logger and he had no pension and after moving to Florida several years ago, to the area he and he wife thought would be a dream place to live, they built a lovely small house, but as always happens, things got broken, there were weather issues and unforeseen occurrences, including some health issues, so funding for their family is tight.

When I asked if it would be OK if I started a gofundme, he said it would be gratefully accepted.
