Support Mike Gravier's Battle with Multiple Myeloma

Hello! Mike Gravier was my head football coach my final two seasons while at Malone, and since then has been a close friend. Now, he could use our help. He's facing his toughest opponent in the form of Multiple Myeloma. Some of my old teammates and I discussed setting up this GoFundMe, and I recently approached Mike to see if he was comfortable with us moving forward. With a heart full of gratitude, he accepted. I asked Mike if he could detail his journey for this. Here is his reply:
"In the fall of 2023, I was dealing with Sciatica. It wasn't the first time I'd had it, so I thought I would just get a shot like I had done before, and the pain would subside. When they did the MRI, they discovered a tumor on my spine that was affecting the Sciatic Nerve. They also found several lesions on my bones. I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. MM is a blood born form of cancer that affects the bones as well (I've had two cracked ribs from this). It is also incurable, so the goal is go into remission. I began low dose chemo in November. That meant at least two visits a week to the clinic for shots in my stomach. In February, I was having stomach pain. A trip to the ER would reveal my cecum (lower part of large intestine where the appendix is attached) had grown to the size of a cantaloupe and required emergency surgery. 8 inches of my large intestine and 11 inches of intestine overall needed to be removed. I spent 5 days in the hospital. Finally, on April 1st, I entered the hospital for two weeks for my stem cell transplant. Since then, I have been in isolation which will continue until at least July. I receive short term disability in the amount of $211 weekly. I received a grant from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, which has been a huge blessing, but I still have bills coming in weekly that are not covered. I should begin my maintenance program some time in June. Hopefully, that lasts for several years, but unfortunately, it's very likely the cancer will return at some point. I greatly appreciate any and all help financially. I know that many of you have also been praying. You have no idea how that has gotten me through the rough times, the times I didn't know whether to sit on the toilet or kneel in front of it. So, I sat down and grabbed a can."
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you'll consider helping out, even if just small amount. Your donations, thoughts, and prayers mean so much to Coach, and they mean ton to me as well. Thank you!
