Update 7/14 - Mike is home but struggling with the dialysis. He is still very weak and will start PT today. We do want to announce that thanks to Parkway Baptist Church (several volunteers) and Highland Heights Church of Christ we now have a wheel chair ramp built for the house. We are truly blessed by their generosity and grateful for all who helped.
Please continue the prayers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Update: 6/26/2025 - Mike was released from Smyrna Care Center and is now home. We still have home health care and dialysis to go through but we are thankful for the progress he has made so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The first picture was Mike Bowling in 2022. He has had a rough time over the last couple of years with health declining. Numerous hospital stays with most recent being ICU (2nd picture) for 5 days at Stonecrest and then a private room for another 7 days. He was moved to a rehab center to try to help him walk again as he has been so sick and bedridden he has lost all of his strength and is on kidney dialysis. Once home he will require some in home medical equipment, a wheel chair ramp, health care assistance, in home physical therapy, transportation to and from kidney dialysis, and we need to refurnish his room with a new bed. He is a tough former Marine, but his health has him down and I am unable to take care of him on my own. I did take an early retirement but the income is just not enough to meet his current medical needs. If anyone can assist it would be appreciated. Even a small donation will help address medical bills and all other issues. God bless and thank you.
