On June 23rd Katherine and Mike welcomed their third and beautiful child McKinley Scott. Shortly after Katherine got home from a rough and extended labor and delivery stay, her husband Mike suffered a seizure in the drive way.

Mike spent 5 days in the hospital due to swelling in his brain 2 in ICU and 3 in a step down unit. Katherine’s dad drove her drove back and forth to concord, sitters for their older two children while Katherine worked with doctors to figure out what happened to Mike.. He was released with no answers to why the swelling was happen but with follow up testing..

On July 21st Mike had a repeat MRI where the they found a 1.2 CM lesion on his brain. He was referred to Bedford Neurospine. A surgery Center. The Surgeon requested Mike and Katherine drive down to Boston for a “virtual biopsy scan” and MRI spectroscopy just a few days later..

The scan is not promising, the mass grew but Mike and Katherine are trying to remain hopeful. The Bedford facility is now sending Mike and Katherine to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon for a Surgical consult and Removal of the mass for a further physical Biopsy.. and possibly follow up treatments if it is the worse case scenario for them.
