Support Mike and His Son Through Hard Times

Hello, my name is Mike. I am a 35-year-old single father experiencing some hardships. I am currently homeless with no food. I’ve been experiencing some health issues for the past four years (some cysts near the buttock area) and up until this February, I had no health insurance to get the surgery to remove them. I’m fortunate enough to have a job that understands and was willing to allow me to take off so much time due to the amount of pain I was in these past four years. As of April, I was fortunate enough to have the surgery performed and am now recovering and waiting to hear from the doctor if any more surgery is needed. Due to this health condition, I haven’t been able to work this year and didn’t have much to save up. I will also be recovering for the next two months, not allowing me to work. I have applied both for disability and government funding. It’s been two months, and I have not heard anything from disability, and government funding denied me for any kind of food stamps or cash aid. I’m asking for help so I can eat, pay for my car that I’m currently living in, and support my son. At least until I’m recovered and can work again. Thank you for reading and your time.
