Songs My Father Taught Me – A Jazz Album by Emily & Mike Byrne

What’s better than one musician in the family? Two! Growing up, our home was alive with music, thanks to my parents’ deep love of the arts. That passion shaped my journey into music—and now, in honor of my birthday and my incredible father, Mike Byrne, we’re heading into the studio together.

We’re creating a jazz album titled Songs My Father Taught Me—a collection of beloved tunes we grew up playing and singing. This project is a celebration of our musical bond and our shared heritage, brought to life by some of Philadelphia’s finest local artists.

To bring this dream to life, we’re raising $5,000. Your support will help us cover studio time, pay our amazing collaborators, and press a commemorative physical album.
